As a fourth year Youth and Social Innovation and Batten Accelerated MPP student at the University of Virginia, Bryan has a vision of carving a clear path towards education reform by incorporating cutting-edge youth development theories that will enable public and private schools across America to inspire the next generation of global leaders. Through his experience of serving as a mentor for over seven years and launching a statewide Mentoring, Leadership, and Anti-Bullying program while serving as Chair of the North Carolina State Youth Council, Bryan has seen firsthand the impact Positive Youth Development programming can have in changing the perspective and vision of young minds. After being inspired by the efforts of a diverse range of learners and students throughout his life, Bryan is committed to ensuring that the education system empowers, engages, and serves all students, not just traditional learners.
