Brendin R. Duckett,
Assistant Director: Entrepreneurial Program Lead

Fourth Year Public Policy Major, UVA Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy

An aspiring Impact Investor and Social Entrepreneur, Brendin wants to empower students with the skills and confidence to tap their true potential. Brendin is a Public Policy major in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. For much of his life, Brendin thought of himself as an average student. Therefore, he never thought of himself as being worthy enough to receive an education from an elite institution. In the Fall of 2016, he decided to take a chance and applied to UVA as a transfer student. Since transferring to UVA, he has never looked back. Brendin has risen to the highest ranks of numerous student organizations and worked extensively within the local community. Currently, Brendin is the President of the Batten Undergraduate Council, serves on Executive Planning Committee of the Human Library of Charlottesville, and is a certified tax preparer for low-income residents. Brendin is committed to using project-based entrepreneurial learning to empower students to become actors within their own community.
