The college board website allows you create an account that allows you to register and view your scores for the SAT and PSAT, and sends the colleges of your choice your best scores. It also allows you to create a CSS profile.
The ACT is a test like the SAT, but also has a science section. Some people score better on one or the other, so it can be useful to take the ACT as well.
The FAFSA is what allows colleges and the government to see if you are eligible for financial aid.
Common App is a site that many colleges are registered with. It allows you to create a profile and answer questions that the colleges all ask, and submit one main application for all of them, in addition to the individual essays and/or portfolios for each.
Creating a MyCoalition account provides access to free online college-planning tools, which helps students start to plan for college early so there is less stress during senior year. MyCoalition empowers students to learn about, prepare for, and apply to college.
Hoos First Look is an annual weekend academic enrichment program that provides meals, transportation, housing, activity materials, and miscellaneous items to 20 low-income/first-generation, rising juniors in high school.
